These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of heritagehillsicamous.ca and, together with the specific information shown during checkout and in your booking confirmation, govern direct reservations for Heritage Hill Retreat in Sicamous, British Columbia.
1. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful personal purposes, including learning about Heritage Hill Retreat, submitting inquiries and making legitimate reservation requests. You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit fraudulent information or use automated means in a way that harms the website or its services.
2. Reservation contract
A reservation is not confirmed merely because you browse availability or submit an inquiry. A binding reservation is formed when the booking process indicates acceptance and you receive the applicable booking confirmation or contract.
Before completing a direct booking, review the accommodation, dates, guest count, currency, total price, taxes and fees, payment requirements, and the cancellation or refund terms presented during checkout. Transaction-specific information displayed during checkout and in the booking confirmation forms part of your reservation agreement.
3. Prices, currency and charges
Prices may vary by accommodation, dates, length of stay, guest count and other booking conditions. The applicable currency, taxes, mandatory fees and total payable for a direct reservation should be displayed before you finalize the booking. You are responsible for reviewing the total and correcting any booking details before confirming the transaction.
4. Payment
The payment schedule, deposit requirement, accepted payment method and any balance due are the terms shown during checkout or in your booking confirmation. Payments may be processed through a third-party booking or payment service. You authorize the applicable charges when you complete the booking process.
5. Cancellations, changes and refunds
The cancellation, amendment, no-show and refund rules applicable to your stay are the specific policy presented to you during checkout and included or referenced in your booking confirmation. Because these conditions may differ by reservation, these Terms do not replace the booking-specific cancellation policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits cancellation, refund or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection legislation.
6. Accommodation and occupancy
Your reservation applies only to the accommodation, dates and permitted occupancy identified in your confirmation. The person making the booking is responsible for providing accurate guest information and for ensuring that members of the group comply with applicable property rules and booking conditions.
Heritage Hill includes Lakeview House, Log House and three Cozy Cabins. A Whole Property reservation brings all five accommodations together for a group of up to 37 guests.
7. Pets
Pets are not permitted with individual-accommodation bookings. Pets are permitted with a Whole Property booking, subject to any booking-specific conditions communicated for the stay.
8. Events and group use
Weddings, gatherings, retreats or other event-style use must be discussed with Heritage Hill before the event is treated as approved. Submitting an event inquiry does not by itself reserve dates or authorize an event. Any event-specific pricing, capacity, conditions or additional requirements will be communicated as part of the quote or booking process.
9. Property information and expectations
We aim to keep descriptions, photographs, amenities and availability information accurate. Heritage Hill is a rural retreat, and conditions associated with weather, nature, utilities, roads or local services can change. Lake views do not mean direct lake access; public access to Mara Lake and Shuswap Lake is available off property.
10. Guest responsibilities
Guests are expected to use the property responsibly, respect neighbours and other persons, follow safety instructions and property rules, and avoid unlawful, dangerous or destructive conduct. Guests may be responsible, to the extent permitted by law and the applicable booking agreement, for damage or extraordinary costs caused by them or members of their party.
11. Availability, interruptions and circumstances beyond control
We may need to address circumstances outside reasonable control, including severe weather, wildfire or evacuation orders, utility or infrastructure failures, government restrictions, or other events affecting safe or lawful accommodation. Any cancellation, relocation, credit or refund arising from such circumstances will be handled according to applicable law and the terms of the affected reservation.
12. Website content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, layout and original content are owned by or used with permission by Heritage Hill Retreat and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Third-party trademarks, platform names and content remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Third-party services and links
The website may link to or rely on third-party booking, payment, map, social-media or other services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Heritage Hill is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from use of the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, statutory warranties, consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Information submitted during a booking may also be processed by the booking or payment services used to complete the transaction.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection or jurisdictional rights that apply to you.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to a confirmed reservation will not be used to retroactively remove rights already established under that reservation or applicable law.
18. Questions
For questions about these Terms or a booking, contact Heritage Hill Retreat at info@heritagehillsicamous.ca or use our Contact Us page.
Important: the website checkout must continue to show the actual booking-specific price, currency, charges, payment schedule and cancellation/refund policy before the guest confirms a reservation. This page is not a substitute for those transaction disclosures.
